Yoga

The self-care session will feature

  • An introduction to self-care through the lens of yoga and how to build in a regular practice of physical, psychological, and spiritual self-care.
  • Some simple standing and (potentially depending on space) seated postures that stretch through major muscle groups, helping to ease physical tension and connect movement with breathing.
  • Positive affirmation setting.
  • Concentrative and mindfulness meditation.

Other

  • Clothing: Recommended comfortable clothing that can stretch quite easily with various postures and stretches.  For example, clothes that enable stretching arms overhead comfortably.
  • Food/drink: Having some water or other drink to hand is helpful.  Avoid over-eating before session.
  • Mindset: Have an open mind.
