Seminar 4 –
Spiritual care: Intervention and evaluation
In this seminar, participants will be able to discuss a case: Mary, 50 years old, married, Catholic, with 5 children, who was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. She requires presence of the nurse and questions meaning in life. From the assessment of spiritual needs, through the diagnosis, the focus will be providing compassionate care, recognizing personal limitations and referral (competence 4).
